Learning about presidents

Everyday when Ben gets home we go through a lot of the typical how were your day questions. Most days I'm lucky to get one or two facts. Today was no different. He said they were learning about money and the presidents. The funny part came later as we were driving to the gym.
He was in the back seat and all of a sudden said, " Hey Mom did you know that George Washington didn't have real teeth. He had pretend teeth but they fell out all of the time. Also I don't think they were that comfortable." We talked about George Washington for a while and then I asked him if he knew anything about Thomas Jefferson or any other presidents. He said, "Mom I'm in kindergarten I cant know everything about all the presidents. That's for when I'm in like 7th grade." I definitely got a laugh out of that response.

I was curious about the George Washington tooth fact so I looked it up and sure enough he only had one real tooth when he was elected President. He spent thousands on dentures and most caused him significant pain.
